Day Forty-Seven

After a long night (for me!) we made it through with no issues. James was able to eat his dinner last night and keep it down and breakfast this morning was a success too!  All we were waiting for was Neurosurgery to come by for a visit to let us know if we were clear to flee the scene!

By 11:30am we were driving away!

We were going home just in time for Christmas.  I know I was happy to go home an sleep in our own beds!  A follow up appointment has been scheduled for James with Neurosurgery next week.  Everything looks great.  There is still some swelling and fluid retention, but Dr. Bookland has decided to give James's body the time to process it all before deciding on taking further surgical action. 

So happy to be home!
